What is Silver Halide Paper?
What is Silver Halide Paper?
Our most well-known line of photo paper is Fujicolor Crystal Archive. This is a family of silver halide papers designed for both professional and consumer use.
Silver halide paper is a traditional photographic paper that uses light-sensitive crystals to create a photographic image, which is then processed in chemicals.
This process results in true photographic prints, as opposed to inkjet prints.
What Paper Finish Should I Choose?
What Paper Finish Should I Choose?
Fujifilm produces a wide variety of papers, but they are often categorised by their surface finish. The finish you choose can dramatically change the look and feel of your final print.
- Glossy: This is the most common finish. It's known for its high-shine, reflective surface that makes colours vibrant and saturated. It's a great choice for landscape photos, vibrant travel shots, and images that you want to have a lot of "pop." The downside is that it's prone to glare and fingerprints.
- Lustre (or Matte): Lustre is a professional and very popular finish. It has a semi-matte surface with a subtle sheen and a fine, pebbled texture. It's less reflective than glossy paper, which makes it easier to view in different lighting conditions and more resistant to fingerprints. Lustre is a versatile choice for everything from portraits and wedding photos to everyday prints.
